How and When is the $1,000 Credential Achievement Award Processed?

The Credential Achievement Award will be sent either by direct deposit or check after you tell us your preference and complete all requirements

Note: Your Credential Achievement Award will only be processed if you have successfully provided your credential and other required information within 150 days of the last day of your course.

Bill.com

Virginia Ready uses Bill.com as our payment processor to send out VA Ready Incentive Awards.

You may get an invitation from Bill.com to join their network – it is not necessary to do this as your payment profile is already set up for payment.  You may disregard the invitation.

Timing

Once your invoice is processed and approved, you will receive payment 15 calendar days from that date. You will receive an email that indicates your invoice has been entered into Bill.com for processing.  You can expect payment in approximately 15 calendar days.

Payment by Direct Deposit

If you chose the ACH method of payment (direct deposit), our bank sends a $ .01 test transaction to the bank payment clearing house to verify the bank account provided is active. You will receive a $ .01 deposit into your account as part of that verification and that is just a verification that the bank account provided is valid.  Once that test transaction is successful, you can expect payment of your award in 15 days.

If the test transaction was NOT successful, you will automatically be issued payment via check to the address you provided in your application.

Payment by Check

If you requested a check, the check will be mailed to the address listed in your application and will be delivered by the U.S. postal service.

If you chose to be paid by check, your Credential Achievement Award will come in an envelope from Bill.com – make sure you don't throw it out!
